Price is “CiCi’s Pizza Chapin Co-Player of the Week”

Junior Nick Price, the CiCi’s Pizza Chapin Co-Player of the Week, has been outstanding at cornerback while also being one of the Midlands’ top kick returners for coach Justin Gentry’s Eagles. On Thursday, Gentry said this about his speedy playmaker’s role in last week’s 38-7 win over North Myrtle Beach in the third round of the 4A playoffs: “They (NMB) basically didn’t throw to his side of the field and on special teams, they didn’t kick the ball anywhere near Nick. That shows the the kind of respect he has earned on the football field field this fall. It’s kind of the ultimate compliment.” Price and his Chapin teammates host Hartsville in the 4A Lower State final tonight at 7:30. Great job and good luck tonight, Nick!

Gentry is “Crescent Construction Coach of the Week”

Chapin head football coach Justin Gentry, whose Eagles host Hartsville tonight in the Lower State championship game, is the Crescent Construction Midlands Coach of the Week. It has been exactly three months since Gentry’s squad last loss, a 32-18 defeat at the hands of 3A Upper State finalist Newberry way back on September 9. Since then, Chapin has won nine straight, including last week’s 38-7 playoff beatdown of a highly-regarded North Myrtle Beach team. Kickoff for tonight’s game against Hartsville (12-1), a team which has also not lost since September, is set for 7:30 at Cecil Woolbright Field. Congratulations and best of luck tonight, Coach Gentry!
