Senior Garrett Whetstone, the Providence Heart A.C. Flora Boys Player of the Week, has been superb since moving to starting wide receiver for the Falcons from his cornerback position.

Whetstone, a 5-10, 170-pounder, caught 6 passes for 111 yards in last week’s 49-28 win over Lower Richland while also making two tackles and a breaking up a pair of passes.

The week before, in a 61-47 win over Midland Valley, Whetstone had 5 grabs for 110 yards and 2 TD’s on offense and an interception, PBU and two tackles on defense for coach Reggie Shaw’s team.

The Falcons battle Dreher on Friday in a key Region 5-4A game match-up at Memorial Stadium.

Great job, Garrett!
